When you see a movie that is based on a book, of course the book is better! I know that, you know that. Even books that are based on movies – Titan AE, X-men, The Mummy II – tend to be better than the movies.
In a book, you have one person to set down the rules, to form the image of what’s going to be presented, so on and so forth. An author is not limited by a one and a half to two hour time slot.
So of course the book is better than the movie. With a book, you are the director of the images that appear in your mind. (For the most part.) The majority of people out there love control, and a book can give you control in ways a movie can’t, even if you’re still under the main direction of the director (author).
There’s no need to say it anymore; least of all to me, a writer.
I know the book is better than the movie.
