About InkyBlots
I started out with author promotions back in 2006 by contacting writer friends of mine and asking them if I could interview them on the blog I ran back then. Thankfully, I was a member of a writing forum, so I could keep up with interviews once a week and I enjoyed them a lot, which was always a plus.
Eventually, authors began noticing the promotion opportunity, and I began interviewing published authors. One author in particular – Sandi Kahn Shelton – liked my site so much that she requested my site as a stop on her virtual book tour.
Dorothy Thompson, the CEO of Pump Up Your Book Promotions, introduced herself and things went on from there. From author interviewer and book reviewer to (that plus) a online tour coordinator, author promotions has been my focus for years now.
After the loss of the blog I began with, I decided to create two new sites. One is The Hot Author Report featuring book reviews, interviews and more. And this site, for all my writerly adventures.
I hope you enjoy.
About Yours Truly
“My country is the world, and my religion is to do good.” – Thomas Paine
I consider myself to be a citizen of the world, currently loving life in beautiful country Victoria in Australia. I love a lot of things, includeing eating sushi, kidnapping my husband and naming my pets in honour of science fiction authors. (So far, we have a cat named Asimov and a puppy named Brin.)
A love of fiction has always coursed through my veins and I told stories as a child even before I knew how to write them. My earliest written story was a page long and featured my next oldest brother blowing up the world with a nuclear fart.
That went over well.
Settling into one genre has never been my style. I love many genres and enjoy writing in them. I have plans for novels in women’s fiction, urban fantasy and more – all with a touch of romance.
If you want to check out my first ebook for authors, then click here. If you want to check out poetry, fiction and non-fiction both here and elsewhere, then click here.
Life has taken me on a wild ride so far and I don’t have the faintest clue where I’ll go from here, but I do know writing and authors will always be a part of it.
Until next time…

I hope things are going well for you. I’ve noticed you haven’t scheduled the InkyBlots Blog Carnival in several weeks. I’m still submitting though.
Life in the First Draft is an excellent site! I’ll be sure to check in often.

Thank you for your concern, Missy.
Moving was a bit harder on my schedule than I anticipated, but things are back to normal, now! I appreciate your submissions.
